Medical Camp – Results

Over 100 people availed the benefit offered by the Pathare Prabhu Charities Trust which enabled them to to undergo a complete medical check up at any NM Medical Centre in Mumbai between 24-Feb-25 and 5-Mar-25.

Of these close to 50 people attended the medical camp on 9th March, 2025 at the Pathare Prabhu Charities Office in Thakurdwar.

In addition to the full conference room, a number of people were waiting outside as well

Dr. Pradeep Vijayakar and Dr. Pradyumna Kothare were the doctors in attendance and they were occupied completely from 10 am to 2 pm examining the patients who opted to consult with them.

We are happy to report that the doctors helped at least 4 patients to take urgent preventive action against the onset of illness in areas as diverse as Heart Failure, Kidney Failure, Hypothyroid Condition and extreme stress. There were many more, but we are just citing a few cases in point.

Thank you so much Doctors for your continued, unstinting help to our community members.

We hope to continue these medical check ups on a regular basis and would love to have Prabhus who missed the camp, to conduct medical tests in time and secure themselves against sudden shocks of illness.

Hello. I have been attending the medical camps conducted by the The Pathare Prabhu Charities (PPC) for more than 25 years. These camps were held at Suresh Vitthal Memorial Hall and some other places. I was happy to attend those camps. The medical camps got better when the PPC decided, about 3 tears ago, to tie up with NM MEDICAL, a well known diagnostic centre with branches spread across Mumbai and other cities. This tie-up enabled our community members to attend the camps near their residence. Like the past 2 years, I attended the camp this year too. The medical tests, etc. were professionally managed. And Dr Vijayakar and Dr Kothare guided us brilliantly as usual. I do have a few observations to share. 1. In Marine Lines branch of NM MEDICAL there was an option to undergo 2D Echo test, if the participant could not undergo Stress test. In their Chowpatty branch this option was not available. So my brother and my neighbor could not undergo 2D Echo test. 2. All the Medical Reports were not received at the PPC office, though we were told that the reports will be sent to PPC. We could as well have collected the Medical Reports from the centre. 3. There was a confusion about the number of slots per family. When my brother approached the PPC office he was refused the slot with the reason that only 1 member of the family was eligible to attend the camp. My neighbor had the same experience. When we learnt that some of our relatives had got permission for more than one person in the family to attend the camp, my brother and my neighbor approached the PPC ofice again and they got the permission to attend the camp. These three issues need to be sorted out. Regards.

My sincere thanks to P P Charities for medical checkup facility at various centres of N M Medical. I availed this facility at their Chowpatty centre. All their doctors and staff were professional in their approach and helpful. My only suggestion is there should be an option of 2d echo, in case stress test can’t be conducted due to high BP at the time of the test. Thanks oncevagain

It was a verb good initiative. This was our first experience. A very pleasant one.
Facilities at the health check centre’s were very good.
Consulting doctors were very welcoming and explained the reports amicably.
Suggestion: a) Both consulting doctors should have individual cabins so that patients can hv privacy to discuss.
      b) Mammogram test and PSA could be included in the package.
      c) Diagnostic center should hv the option to avail 2D Echo test if Stress test is not advised due to BP or any issue.
I woud strongly recommend that members of the community, especially the younger generation, should respond positively and take advantage of the gr8 facility offered by the PPC.
My wife Manisha and I are satisfied and grateful to the PPC for the facility provided .

Dear Trustees of the Pathare Prabhu Charities

This was the first time I got my complete medical check up done and I owe that to the PPC for organising such a noble cause. I feel a lot more Pathare Prabhus must avail this opportunity given by the PPC and extend their support to your activities. Hope to see a larger turnover in the coming years.

Immense respect and high regards towards all of you for giving so much back to the community. Appreciate all the activities that you have conducted so far. Also appreciate the Panel of Doctors who conducted the Medical camp hosted by you.

Gratitude to Mr. Sukrit Vijayakar and Mr. Amit Kothare for ensuring I get myself checked and enabling a smooth process through e-letter.

I sincerely hope the community recognises and appreciates the efforts put in by the ones who are selflessly contributing by giving their precious time, and efforts for the community.

      Sanjana Kothare
