In a rapidly changing world, the youth of today have a number of ways of expressing themselves and their skills. The Pathare Prabhu Charities Board recognizes the need to acknowledge exceptional performances of the youth of our community in areas beyond conventional academics.

Accordingly, from this year, the Board of Trustees invites nominations for a Special Award to recognise a student (below 25 years of age) from our community who has achieved exceptional distinction in any field including outside the regular academic curriculum.

Depending on the response from the community, the nature of this award may be fine tuned in future years. However, for this year, these are the broad characteristics for this award.

• The achievement must be a recognised honour from a reputed institution (Indian or International) or government body and should bring pride to the community.
• Only one candidate will be selected for this honour in 2025.
• Having said so, the trust reserves the right to not confer the award in any given year if, in their sole discretion, they believe that no nomination fulfils the concept of the award itself.

1. Who all are eligible for this award?Any Pathare Prabhu, male or female, who was below 25 years of age at the time of achieving his / feat, is eligible for this award
2. What is the time period being considered for recognition of achievementSince this is the year of inception, we shall be considering all achievements attained between the period 01-Apr-23 to 31-Mar-25.For the next year, and all subsequent years, only the previous financial year will be considered.
3. Can you please provide some examples of Mukutmani eligibility?A non exhaustive list could be
   1. Merit List Holder in Class X / XII
   2. Gold Medallist in a University Exam
   3. CA Rank
   4. A score of 800 in GMAT
   5. A medal in a national sports event (Chess / Badminton / Cricket etc.)
   6. A state or national government award in dramatics
4. Why are you giving only one award?This is the first year and this award is funded by a donation specifically for this kind of recognitionIf we get more funds for these kinds of awards or, if in the sole opinion of the jury, two candidates seem truly deserving of an award, the trust will consider increasing the number of awards in any given yearEqually, if in a given year, the jury does not find anybody worthy of this award, it will not be awarded that year.
