Suresh Vitthal Memorial Hall – A Place Where Memories Are Made
The Story of Its Inception
In December 1945, Mrs. Champubai Motiram Nana Jaykar made a generous donation of ₹15,000 in memory of her beloved son, the late Suresh Vitthal. Her heartfelt wish was to build a marriage hall within the temple premises, giving the community a dedicated space for celebrations.
The proposal was warmly welcomed at the General Meeting on 24th November 1946, and soon after, construction began.
From Dream to Reality
Built on the second floor at a total cost of ₹25,000, under the guidance of Shri B.D. Mhatre and designed by Shri Bhagwandas Company, the hall was completed and inaugurated on 29th January 1947 by Mukundrao Ramrao Jayakar. This marked the beginning of a new chapter for the community.
A Hall with Significance
The Suresh Vitthal Memorial Hall is more than just a venue – it is a living testament to generosity, remembrance, and unity. Situated within the sacred Shri Venkatesh Temple, it offers a unique spiritual touch to every event, making each occasion feel truly blessed.
