Pathare Prabhu Charities – AGM 2025

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Pathare Prabhu Charities was held on Sunday, 27th July 2025, at 5:00 PM at the Suresh Vithal Memorial Hall in Thakurdwar, Mumbai.

The meeting, attended by 58 members of the community, marked a significant transition in leadership and saw several important discussions and resolutions

Leadership Transition

Outgoing Chairman, Uday Shankarrao Mankar, who had completed his tenure on 29th June 2025, formally introduced Sukrit Vijayakar as the newly appointed Trustee and the unanimously elected new Chairman of the Trust.

Mr. Mankar expressed gratitude to the Board of Trustees and administrative staff for their cooperation during his tenure, particularly highlighting their contribution in compiling and releasing the Trust’s Annual Report and Audited Financials well ahead of the statutory deadline.

Adoption of Reports

The members unanimously adopted the minutes of the previous AGM held on 11th August 2024, as proposed by Mrs. Megha Wazkar and seconded by Mr. Amit Kothare.

 

Mr. Rajan Jayakar presented the Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements for the year ending 31st March 2025. His address, in Marathi, underscored the Trust’s accomplishments over the past year.

 

The report was adopted following a unanimous vote, seconded by Dr. Pradeep Vijayakar.

 

Lift Installation Proposal Approved

A significant resolution was introduced under “Any Other Business” by Mr. Sudhir Vyvarharkar. The proposal to install a new lift providing access to the Suresh Vitthal Memorial and Kamalabai Brahmankar Halls from outside the Shree Vyankatesh Temple was unanimously approved.

Mr. Amit Kothare, who seconded the motion, emphasized the need to improve accessibility for senior community members and those with mobility challenges.

Acknowledgements and Announcements

Mr. Narendra Jayakar read a letter from Mr. Suresh Jayakar, praising Mr. Mankar’s exemplary service as Chairman. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Santosh Navalkar and seconded by Mr. Narendra Jayakar.

In his first address as Chairman, Mr. Sukrit Vijayakar introduced Dr. Pallavi Divekar as a new Trustee.

He appealed to the general body to support him as they had previous Chairmen and urged members to take advantage of the Trust’s Medical Health Scheme and temple puja facilities.

 

The meeting concluded at 5:50 PM.
